Manchester United – Angel di Maria Gets a Very Rough Welcome
Another match, another new big-name and big-money signing, yet nothing changes for Louis van Gaal and Manchester United. Angel di Maria seems to be the next in line of a long list of players confused as to the tactics that are being utilized and the assignments they’re required to do, resulting in bad football, hardly any chances created and still no wins under the new manager.

Premier League – Week 3 Results & Table
Two crazy results, one shocking due to the number of goals, stand out: Everton losing at home to Chelsea in a 6-3 rampage including a brace from Diego Costa, and Stoke City stunning Manchester City at the Etihad with a stunning goal from Mame Biram Diouf. Match Highlights – Everton vs Chelsea
It’s only August, but Chelsea beating Everton 6-3 just might be the best match we’ll have all season in the English Premier League, with the visitors starting out strong through Diego Costa and Branislav Ivanovic but letting the home side make it a classic in Goodison Park, especially in the second half as the Toffees kept chasing but never had quite enough to reach the best team in the league right now.

Match Highlights – Burnley vs Manchester United
For the first time this season, Manchester United didn’t concede a goal. That’s about as good as it gets for Louis van Gaal and his players, including Angel di Maria making his debut, as they come away with a 0-0 draw against Burnley, the newly promoted side winning their first point of the 2014-2015 Premier League campaign.

Champions League – All 32 Teams in the Group Stage
Before the group stage draw, it’s good to know the 32 teams that will be playing in the Champions League, with Spain (Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao), Germany (Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, Leverkusen) and England (Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City) sending four clubs each to the competition.

Match Highlights – MK Dons vs Manchester United
In the long history of Manchester United, few nights have been as humiliating as the 4-0 loss to MK Dons in the second round of the League Cup, which isn’t a competition the club is really counting on succeeding in, but no one planned on being destroyed by a League One side.

Liverpool FC – Brendan Rodgers Keeps Making the Same Mistakes
It’s not a disaster losing when visiting the toughest stadium the Premier League has to offer, but Liverpool should have done more than look incompetent on offense. Brendan Rodgers is fair to expect more from players like Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho, but more than anything, his tactical mistakes, coming in the same form for a second consecutive match, might have cost his team a better result or at least a more respectable performance.

Real Madrid – Cristiano Ronaldo Getting Used to Not Having Angel di Maria
One word to describe Real Madrid making their debut in the league? Boring. A win, with goals from Karim Benzema and a howler from Cristiano Ronaldo, but that didn’t stop the fans from booing their players due to the slow and predictable play for most of the match.

La Liga – Week 1 Results & Table
Nothing new on the first week of the Spanish La Liga, as Barcelona and Lionel Messi comfortably beat Elche, Real Madrid struggled but won with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring against Cordoba and Atletico Madrid found life difficult without Diego Simeone, drawing without any goals against Rayo Vallecano.

Match Highlights – Manchester City vs Liverpool
Not a great performance, but a fantastic result, as Manchester City beat Liverpool 3-1 by simply maximizing the opportunities they reached, as Stevan Jovetic had his best Premier League match with a brace and Sergio Aguero scored seconds after coming on as a substitute.
