USC Beats Fresno State – Cody Kessler Was the Right Choice
Who would have thought that the 2013 season would end with smiles for USC and even winning 10 games? Cody Kessler put on quite a performance, mostly by targeting Marqise Lee, as the Trojans easily beat Fresno State to win the Las Vegas Bowl 45-20.

Bowl Season – Day 1 Predictions
Bowl season begins without anything too grandiose, but there’s definitely some star power in Las Vegas as two ranked teams, Fresno State and USC take on each other in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl. College Football Rumors – Mack Brown Leaves Texas
The only reason, as it turns out, that Mack Brown didn’t announce him leaving the Texas football program was because the rumors of him stepping down leaked, so he decided to change the date by a day, and get to do it on his own terms. He’ll remain with the team until after the Alamo Bowl, but then step off his perch, and leave the head coaching job of the Longhorns to someone else.

College Football Rumors – Nick Saban Staying With Alabama, Mack Brown Trying to Stay in Texas
A potentially massive change in the head coaching scenery of College Football isn’t going to happen at the moment. Nick Saban is staying with Alabama, probably signing another massive extension to remain as the head coach of the Crimson Tide until the end of his career, while Mack Brown isn’t planning on stepping down or leaving Texas, instead announcing he’ll be fighting to keep his job.

College Football Rumors – Alabama Doesn’t Think Nick Saban is Leaving to Texas
We’ve been over this a few times – except for the money, there’s nothing that Texas have to offer that Nick Saban should feel too much of a pull towards and will make him leave Alabama. College Football Rumors – Mack Brown Quitting Texas, Nick Saban Leaving Alabama
With no bowl games for the next couple of weeks, the most interesting thing happening right now in College Football is the head coach carousel. You won’t find bigger schools than Texas and Alabama to get involved in such a thing, as it seems that Mack Brown is closer to announcing he’s stepping down as Longhorns coach, while the Tide are getting worried that Nick Saban is going to be the man that fills his shoes.

College Football – Final Top 25 Rankings of the Regular Season
The final AP Poll of the regular season doesn’t really surprise anyone – Florida State and Auburn are the only team with first place votes, and all likely will be the programs that head into the national championship game. The rest of the top 25 simply signifies the chances of other schools to make it to the other BCS bowls, unless some conference affiliation has already taken care of that.
