After three weeks of College Football, we have 17 teams with a perfect 3-0 record: Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas and LSU in the SEC; Oregon and Arizona in the Pac-12; Maryland in the ACC; Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State in the Big 12; Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern and Ohio State in the Big Ten; and Louisville and UCF in the AAC.

It seems the draft stock of Barkevious Mingo, heading out of LSU, is on the rise, as more and more teams are looking and hoping for him to still be available when their number comes up in the first round of the NFL draft. The New Orleans Saints are another team in dire need of defensive improvement despite all that they’ve added this off-season, and adding a talented pass-rusher like Mingo would probably be a good move for them with the 15th pick.

It’s hard to think of too many teams that need to upgrade pretty much every position on the field, both on offense and defense, but the New York Jets, unfortunately, are one of them. While looking at getting stronger through the draft over the next couple of seasons, getting play-makers is something on their mind, and linebacker Barkevious Mingo coming out of LSU might be the best they’ll get with their first round pick.

Two teams that expected to get to end the season a little bit higher with a bit more prestige in their bowl game, but the Chick-Fil-A Bowl is pretty much as good as it gets outside the BCS world. Clemson and their high powered offense with their ACC disappointments, LSU with their great defense and the too tough to play in SEC.

Surprise, surprise, the SEC rule this one as well. Not the top school, which belongs to the only Big 12 program on this list (Texas, way beyond the rest), but owning 7 spots along the way. Alabama and LSU as expected, but also Auburn and Arkansas who have seen better days. Michigan represent the Big Ten while Notre Dame are the independent party in College Football’s most valuable programs.
