Free Agency, Day 1 – Oh What a Night!
The first day of free agency continued the trend the days before it set: Big trades instead of big free agent moves, mega re-signings, and the East continues to get weaker. NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Clippers on the Verge of Falling Apart
It doesn’t seem like the Los Angeles Clippers want to scrap everything and start anew, but with both Blake Griffin and Chris Paul making the obvious choice to opt out of the final year on their contracts and become free agents, the sense of an end and a beginning is impossible to ignore.

NBA Rumors: Chicago Bulls Went for the Long, Painful Rebuild
Trading Jimmy Butler wasn’t the worst thing in the world to do for the Chicago Bulls – a rebuild was probably going to happen at some point. But the trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves didn’t really put them in a position to head in the right direction right away. It probably means this is going to be a long, painful process.
