NBA – Day 3 Scores & Standings
The Chicago Bulls and Derrick Rose had a happy homecoming with a game-winning shot from the comeback point guard despite another sloppy display from him and his teammates on offense, handing the New York Knicks their first loss of the season, while the Los Angeles Clippers and Chris Paul rebounded from their season opening loss by running the Golden State Warriors off the court despite a huge shooting night from Stephen Curry.

NBA – Warriors vs Clippers Predictions
Both teams start the season with a Californian flavor, and after facing the same opponent on opening night, the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers get to resume what has turned out into quite a vicious rivalry.
-
NBA – Knicks vs Bulls Predictions
The Chicago Bulls wish they can put a healthier team around Derrick Rose, as their tough start to the season continues after a day of rest from opening night as they host the New York Knicks, coming off a win in the first game of the season in a short Midwestern tour.

Lakers vs Warriors: Klay Thompson in ‘Can’t Miss’ Mode
If Stephen Curry scored only 10 points and the Golden State Warriors still win by 31 points, it was probably a special night. It certainly was for Klay Thompson who simply couldn’t miss for the dubs, who had no problem dispatching the Los Angeles Lakers in a 125-94 victory that probably meant the visitors overachieved on their first night out.

Hawks vs Mavs: Monta Ellis Takes Over for Dirk Nowitzki
It’s been quite a while that the Dallas Mavericks have been looking for someone to help Dirk Nowitzki take a step back and not be so worried about being the main scoring threat the team has. In the season opening 118-109 win over the Atlanta Hawks, Monta Ellis showed that the search might be finally over.

Houston Rockets – Jeremy Lin Great as a Bench Player
Maybe Kevin McHale knew what he was talking about – it doesn’t matter who starts, but who plays the most minutes. Jeremy Lin had an encouraging start to the season in his new role as the sixth man for the Houston Rockets, although most of the headlines were grabbed by Dwight Howard, having a great start to the next chapter in his career, hopefully ending better than the last two.
-
New York Knicks – Carmelo Anthony Not Getting Too Much Help
The New York Knicks are going to look the same way as they did last year: Carmelo Anthony taking most of the shots, while Iman Shumpert and Raymond Felton try to help. Andrea Bargnani isn’t worth the money he’s being paid, while Amare Stoudemire isn’t even healthy enough to play. Maybe when J.R. Smith returns things will look a bit better.
-
76ers vs Heat: Michael Carter-Williams in Dreamy Debut
NBA rookie debuts can’t go any better than the performance put on by Michael Carter-Williams, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 114-110 win over the Miami Heat, putting on a statistical masterpiece while falling short of becoming only the second rookie in league history to finish with a triple double while playing in his first game.

NBA – Day 2 Scores & Standings
With 14 games, the NBA had it’s real opening night a day late, as the Miami Heat lost for the first time this season to the surprising Philadelphia 76ers, while the Dwight Howard project in Houston for the Rockets began quite well, beating the Charlotte Bobcats without too many problems.

NBA – Lakers vs Warriors Predictions
After a surprising win on opening night against their next door neighbors, the Los Angeles Lakers travel to their first road game of the season to play against the Golden State Warriors, making their first appearance with an upgraded squad and much higher expectations.
