Nebraska Cornhuskers – Mike Riley of Oregon State is Their New Head Coach
In a very surprising move, Nebraska went ahead very discreetly and hired Mike Riley of Oregon State to be their next head coach, hoping he’ll be the one to take them back to the level of contending for conference championships and making the college football playoff, something Bo Pelini failed to do.

Oregon State Over Arizona State: Pac-12 South Race Blown Wide Open
It’s a tradition for Oregon State to ruin the plans and ambitions of other teams. By beating Arizona State 35-27 they didn’t just take out the Sun Devils from playoff contention, they also made the race for the Pac-12 South division title wide open again, meaning it’s going to take us a bit more time before we know who comes out of the division to play for the conference championship.

Oregon State Beats Boise State – It’s Been a While
Winning the Hawai’i Bowl by beating Boise State 38-23 isn’t going to take away from the very poor finish Oregon State had to this season, but it’s probably quite a relief to win a bowl game for the first time since that awful Sun Bowl five years ago, maybe setting off the program with a good feeling into what hopefully will be a better next season.

Oregon Ducks – At Least They Won the Civil War
An arrogant bunch, the 2013 version of the Oregon Ducks. If it’s not the national title, it’s not good enough for them. That kind of thinking led to a shocking loss in Arizona, ending their chance of winning the Pac-12 and going to the Rose Bowl. They almost let their rivalry against Oregon State and the small chance of appearing in a BCS bowl slip away too, until Marcus Mariota and Josh Huff decided that enough is enough, coming up with the dramatic touchdown to win the game 36-35.

2013 College Football Season – Ranked Teams Losing & Upsets Already Begin
The beginning of the College Football season brought with it (so far) losses of three ranked teams, as Georgia (losing to Clemson) and TCU (losing to LSU) weren’t really subject to an upset due to the quality of their rivals, but Boise State being destroyed by Washington was more than a slightly surprising result, and so was Oregon State losing to Eastern Washington.

Texas Longhorns – David Ash Erases Past Mistakes
A slow start and the memory of getting pulled out of a game in the regular season didn’t stop David Ash from following through on the claims that Texas have a quarterback again. Life was difficult in the first half, but Ash ended up with his hand on top, throwing two fourth quarter game winning touchdowns and end a weird season for the Longhorns on a very high note.

Oregon State Beavers – How They Can Still Reach the Rose Bowl
Everyone’s assuming that Oregon State aren’t good enough to win the Civil War and take down Oregon in what should be one of the biggest games in this rivalry’s history due to the fact that both teams are in the top 11 and both have simultaneous high hopes for the first time since 2000, when they came into game ranked #5 and #8.

The Best State in College Football
How do you decide what state deserves the bragging rights of being the best in the nation of College Football? Different conferences and too short of a season can’t help us completely decide, but according to the records compiled by redditor MrTheSpork, it’s probably Oklahoma or Oregon.

College Football – Same Undefeated Teams, Same BCS Contenders
Week 8 offered no change and no real mix in what will be the polls later on and the BCS standings, as Alabama, Oregon, Kansas State, Florida, Notre Dame and Oregon State kept on winning.
