  • The Curious Case of Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant has a short memory, like all great players. He missed his first 15 shots of the game. He finished with an awful 3-21 from the field, which isn’t that surprising considering what we’ve seen this season. It had to happen at some point. But some things don’t change, and Bryant woke up at the right time, hitting the go ahead three pointer as the Lakers beat the Hornets 88-85.

  • Kelly Pavlik Finding His Way Back Into Boxing

Kelly Pavlik is far from where he wants to be, but considering his recent out-of-the-ring history, getting a second round win in his first fight in almost a year, over Aaron Jaco, this minor, almost insignificant fight at 168 lbs is just another step towards a return to better days, which weren’t that long ago.

  • Anthony Davis & Kentucky One Win Away From Glory

Anthony Davis had to be great all night long, while the future NBA players around him had trouble dominating for long stretches. The Freshman led Kentucky to a 69-61 win over Louisville in the opening game of the Final Four, making it to the national finals for the first time since 1998, which was the last time the title went to the Big Blue nation.

  • April Fools’ In the World of Sports

April Fool’s is the international day of pranking. It’s no different in the world of sports, be it the NBA or the NFL. Players prank teammates, stars prank fans, reporters make fun of the same stars, and even GM’s destroy their players’ confidence by telling them, cruelly, they’re getting traded.

  • Robinho and Milan Get Screwed Again By Lack of Goal Line Technology

Robinho surely scored, but from where the referee was located, it was hard to tell. AC Milan should have won against Catania, but the linesman couldn’t identify, or just didn’t have the guts to say anything, regarding the ball that crossed the line. The game went on, ended in a 1-1 draw with Catania, and the title race is wide open again thanks to another case of Milan being on the wrong end of football’s primitiveness.

  • Lionel Messi Scores in Another Camp Nou Breezer For Barcelona

Lionel Messi scored his 36th league goal of the season, putting him one behind Cristiano Ronaldo in the equally interesting Pichichi race, capping off Barcelona’s 2-0 win that began with Andres Iniesta’s goal over the worn out Athletic Bilbao, keeping them six points behind Real Madrid with 8 matches left in the bag.

  • Cristiano Ronaldo Tears Osasuna Apart

Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t affected by all the talk about problems between Jose Mourinho and some of his players, of the talk about crisis. What crisis? Two 1-1 draws? Real Madrid have scored 13 goals in their last 3 matches, and made it through one of the toughest and hostile venues in the La Liga with an impressive 5-1 victory and keeping their distance from Barcelona at more than safe.

  • Anthony Davis Becomes Kentucky’s First AP Player of the Year

Anthony Davis has made quite an impact during his Freshman year with the Kentucky Wildcats. Becoming the school’s first player to win the AP College Basketball Player of the Year award might be a distraction, but it certainly never hurts to pick up prestigious awards.

  • Kevin Durant For MVP? Why Not?

Kevin Durant has won the NBA rookie of the year award in 2008, he’s a three time NBA All-Star, two time NBA scoring champion and two time All-NBA first team member. It’s time he adds the MVP award to everything else he’s achieved in the (almost) five season’s he has been in the league with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Seattle Supersonics.

  • When Everything Clicks, the Heat are the Best in the NBA

LeBron James didn’t need some super effort to bring the Miami Heat back to their winning ways. Neither did Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh. The combination of pretty much everyone playing well and the awful Dallas Mavericks led to the Heat winning 106-85, making it 15 consecutive wins at home.
