  • Six Hours of Talks Don’t Bring NBA Lockout End any Closer

    Well, Six hours later, and we’re still in the middle of the NBA lockout. Not that I expected David Stern, Adam Silver and Derek Fisher to fix everything and give up on billions of dollars in six hours. But still, at least according to what they’re saying or probably what they’re not saying, we’re not any closer to end the work dispute and get the 2011-2012 NBA season going.

  • Barcelona vs Real Madrid Title Race, Week 1

    The Spanish La Liga opened, finally, this weekend. It’s going to be a two horse raise, as usual, between the champions for the last three seasons, Barcelona, and Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid. Both teams’ opening matches were a festival of goals and weak opposition, also foreshadowing the pichichi firing shot, with Both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo starting strong.

    Usain Bolt fell and failed due to a stupid rule. He did false start, but this one and done thing by the IAAF is idiotic and threw out the man, maybe the only man, with an appeal to the general public. But Bolt’s disqualification does raise some questions and thoughts.
