Not getting the call from the referee can be a frustrating thing. Carmelo Anthony showed his frustration during a preseason game, and got a technical foul for it.
During the Oklahoma City Thunder’s visit to Denver to play the Nuggets, Anthony was battling Wilson Chandler under the basket. Steven Adams lobbed him the ball into the paint, and Anthony, while getting bumped by Chandler, managed to score under the basket, without getting the call.
His immediate reaction was to turn to the referee, and tell him: I told you I got fouled motherfucker!
In response, the referee gave him a technical foul, while the home crowd, not really fond of Anthony since he was traded away from Denver in 2011 to the New Knicks, responded in booing their former star.
The Thunder won the game 96-89, improving to 3-1 in the preseason. Anthony finished with 16 points in 16 minutes, adding 9 rebounds. He’ll make his regular season debut for the Thunder on October 19, at home, playing the Knicks, his former team.
