LeBron James & Miami Heat Look Like NBA Champions

Maybe it was Brandon Jennings with his deceleration that the Milwaukee Bucks will win the series, or maybe it’s the fact that the Miami Heat and LeBron James are too good for almost anyone in the NBA right now, especially the team they’ve been paired up with to open their title-defense playoff run.

NFL Rumors – Minnesota Vikings Deciding Between Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel

It’s hard to believe anyone can consider Matt Cassel to be starting quarterback material after his last couple of seasons with the Chiefs, but the Minnesota Vikings don’t have a much better option as their number one quarterback. Christian Ponder had his moments last season, but a lot of what he showed was disappointing, giving the franchise some doubts regarding his ability to lead them in the future.

NFL Rumors – Kansas City Chiefs Closer to Drafting Luke Joeckel

The Kansas City Chiefs can play coy about their number one draft pick in 2013, but it seems clearer and clearer that it’ll be Luke Joeckel, the left tackle coming out of Texas A&M, while Branden Albert has been getting closer and closer to finding common grounds with the Miami Dolphins about a contract, leading up to a trade between the teams eventually.

NFL Rumors – Tampa Bay Buccaneers Getting Darrelle Revis Makes Them Super Bowl Contenders

It’s hard to disagree on the fact that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the big winners of the trade with Darrelle Revis, as the New York Jets folded in their demands, losing the best cornerback in the NFL and all they have to show for it is a first round pick in 2013, the 13th overall selection, and a conditional pick in 2014.

Lima Scores the “Team” Goal of the Year (Benfica vs Sporting)

With the season in Portugal getting closer and closer (four matches left) to its end, it’s hard to see just where Benfica will drop more than four points and allow Porto to catch up with them. One of the few big challenges left, Sporting, couldn’t be enough to stop the league leaders, winning 2-0 through goals by Eduaro Salvio and Lima, with the second one being the best passing sequence that ended up in the net we’ve seen all season.

Thiago Silva Scores an Impossible Goal That is Disallowed

We’re not used to seeing Thiago Silva scoring goals. In fact, he’s at 0 since arriving at PSG this season with the season nearing it’s end. In the 3-0 win over Nice, Silva did manage to put the ball in the net from the most impossible of angles, but it ended up being another beauty being disallowed, with the ball crossing the touchline prior to Silva swerving it into the open net.

Chelsea FC – Eden Hazard & Juan Mata are the Present & Future

They talk of a magical trio, but in the truth it’s just two players – Eden Hazard and Juan Mata that are truly special. Oscar still has some consistency and physicality issued to tend to before he can be considered as good, giving Chelsea a truly unique threesome that plays behind a striker, Fernando Torres, that can’t seem to provide the right kind of outlet to his talented teammates.

Liverpool FC – Daniel Sturridge Helps Luis Suarez When it Comes to Football

Something isn’t working for Liverpool lately, and things could get worse if Luis Suarez does get hit with a meaningful suspension for biting Branislav Ivanovic, adding yet another black mark to his sketchy resume, making you often forget what a wonderful footballer he is, combining with Daniel Sturridge for a fantastic second half display.

Novak Djokovic Will be Remembered as Better Than Rafael Nadal

The situation for Rafael Nadal at this stage of his career is quite different than it is for Novak Djokovic. Unless what we saw in the Monte Carlo final was a rusty Nadal who still needs more time to find his way back to the top of the game, this is as good as it gets. A final on clay, with the world’s number one standing in his way. When the careers of both men will be over, the Serb will be remembered as the better player.

Luis Suarez Biting Branislav Ivanovic Isn’t Such a Bad Foul

It’s easy to mark Luis Suarez as a villain – the diving, the racism incident, and now biting Bransilav Ivanovic on the arm during the 2-2 draw between Liverpool and Chelsea. But is it truly the end of the world and one of the worst offenses a footballer can commit? Nope, and it would be wise for the FA to treat this as something that deserves no more than a two match suspension.
