It’s been just over 12 months since Barcelona dropped a point at home in a league match, dating back to October 7, drawing 2-2 with Real Madrid. Since then, they’ve played 19 league matches at home, winning all of them.
Barcelona have dropped points and lost matches in other competitions: losing 3-1 to Real Madrid in last year’s Copa Del Rey semifinal (February 26), drew 0-0 with Benfica in the Champions League (December 5), drew 1-1 with PSG in the Champions League (April 10) and lost 3-0 to Bayern Munich (May 1). However, when it comes to the bread & butter, the Nou Camp has been something of a fortress to them.
In these 19 matches Barcelona have scored 67 goals (averaging 3.52 per game), conceding 14 (0.51 per game), keeping a clean sheet five times. Lionel Messi, who missed a few matches at the end of last season and the beginning of this year as well has scored 22 goals through Barcelona’s perfect home stand over the last 12 months.
Their next home match will be the first Clasico of the season, hosting Real Madrid on October 26.
