For some reason, in my mind (maybe I’m the only one) Oscar winners and hot women don’t go hand in hand. Maybe that why I was so happy to see Jennifer Lawrence win the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in the Silver Linings Playbook, making her the youngest person ever to be nominated for two Best Actress Oscars and the second youngest Best Actress winner in history.
People who go on to star in films about novels that are mostly made for teenagers don’t usually win Oscars, but the world is changing. Talent doesn’t usually go hand in hand with good looks and what seems to be a quirky, geeky and easy to fall in love with personality.
Oscars usually go to the person who doesn’t necessarily deserve it, but to someone who makes sense for the academy. For once, it actually went to a really young star who doesn’t necessarily fit the mold of what Oscar winners usually are, while being easy to look at (that’s an understatement) not really hurting.
