NBA Playoffs – Game 6 Predictions (Thunder vs Clippers, Pacers vs Wizards)
Two series down, two more to go. The Oklahoma City Thunder can make the Western conference finals if they close out the series against the Los Angeles Clippers in game 6, and the same goes for the Indiana Pacers in their series with the Washington Wizards, although the momentum situation is completely different in that one.

NFL Rumors – Cleveland Browns Will Start Brian Hoyer Over Johnny Manziel
In a draft without big stars, Johnny Manziel stole the show by being the 22nd overall pick, heading to the Cleveland Browns. Being a first round pick doesn’t make him the starting quarterback, and if no injuries occur between now and week, 1, Brian Hoyer will be the one under center for the Browns this season.

San Antonio Spurs – The Predictable Ending
Aside from one minor glitch and bump on the road, the San Antonio Spurs got no problems from the Portland Trail Blazers in a very easy and short conference semifinals series, winning 104-82 in game 5 to take the series 4-1 and put themselves in the conference finals for a third consecutive season.

NHL Playoffs – Montreal Canadiens Reach Conference Finals, Los Angeles Kings Force Game Seven
The picture of the “Final Four” is getting clearer in the NHL playoffs as the Montreal Canadiens finally got past the Boston Bruins in a game 7 on the road to win 3-1 and take the second spot in the Eastern Conference Finals (where the New York Rangers are waiting), while the Los Angeles Kings beat the Anaheim Ducks 2-1 to give themselves another shot by forcing a seventh game in the series.

Miami Heat – Taking Care of the Arrogant & Old
Title defenses are never easy, and the Miami Heat sure had a difficult time closing out their series against the Brooklyn Nets. A strong first half from Dwyane, overall another good one from LeBron James and a great finish from Ray Allen and Chris Bosh were needed for a 96-94 win and taking the series 4-1, earning a spot in the conference finals for a fourth consecutive time.

Yankees Over Mets – A Pitcher’s Delight
The New York Yankees are a very good offensive team, but when it comes to their pitching, the only reliable player they have right now is Masahiro Tanaka who continued his impressive debut season with a 4-hitter and a shutout in a complete game against the New York Mets, paving the way towards a 4-0 win.

In a surprising twist, Steve Kerr decided not to join the New York Knicks and take the head coach job of the Golden State Warriors instead, signing a five-year deal with the franchise he apparently preferred working for all along.

Match Highlights – Sevilla vs Benfica
Some things never change – Benfica lose Europa League finals, Sevilla win them. This time it was penalty kicks after a 0-0 draw through the 120 minutes (in which Benfica were the better and more dangerous team) that gave the Spanish side the title, winning the competition for the third time.

LeBron James – Doesn’t Need MVP to be Better Than Kevin Durant
Being the MVP doesn’t make you the best player in the league. Kevin Durant was better than anyone else this regular season, but LeBron James, maybe coasting but probably not, is still the superior and the highest standard of excellence in the NBA.
