Kenny Dalglish Finally Finding the Right Formula (Liverpool vs Stoke)
Liverpool were good enough to actually beat Stoke, something that doesn’t usually happen since Stoke have been promoted and become something of a regular fixture, for good and bad of the English Premier League. Luis Suarez found the net, and even Stewart Downing, with Peter Crouch scoring against his ex in between. It didn’t help much, as a possible Merseyside derby looms ahead for Kenny Dalglish and Steven Gerrard.

Manchester United at Wolves – Too Easy For League Leaders
Wolves haven’t won at home since December 4, so there wasn’t much hope the bottom ranked team in the Premier League would actually stop Manchester United’s stride towards their fifth league title in six years. Still, a 0-5 home defeat as Ronald Zubar picked up two yellow cards in 11 minutes while Javier Hernandez broke his league scoring drought with a brace. And to think United lost 2-1 on their last visit to the Molineux.

Life is Good for the Knicks Under Mike Woodson
No D’Antoni, and business is booming for the New York Knicks, who decided to go with their players, mostly Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire, who were unhappy with whatever was going down with their former head coach. Under Mike Woodson? No losses so far, and Jeremy Lin is not shocking anyone. He might not be superstarish each night, but he’s more than good enough to lead the Knicks on some night.

Kei Kamara With the Best St. Patrick’s Day Goal Celebration
Kei Kamara likes playing against the New England Revolution, with a tendency to score against the club since he began his MLS career with the Columbus Crew. Currently playing with Sporting Kansas City, Kamara scored his first goal of the season in the 3-0 win, looking even more impressive his celebration and the St. Patrick’s day reference along with C.J. Sapong.

Kentucky Leads a Night Of No Surprises
John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats are in it for the whole thing, and so far there doesn’t seem to be anyone even near of interrupting their run to the final four. The Iowa State Cyclones made an impression by beating Uconn, but were hardly a match for the most talented group in College Basketball, losing 87-71 in the first day of the Last 32 action.

2012 NFL Free Agency – A Weekend of Receivers and Offensive Lines
The biggest news this weekend so far in the NFL free agency frenzy of 2012, if you can actually call it a frenzy, was wide recievers switching teams. Mario Manningham leaving the Giants and signing the San Francisco 49ers, while Brando Lloyd join the New England Patriots.

Fabrice Muamba Condition is Still Critical
Fabrice Muamba, the 23 year old England U-21 international, who collapsed on Saturday during the match (abandoned) between Tottenham and Bolton, is still in critical condition after suffering from cardiac arrest while playing, collapsing on the pitch and treated before taken to a hospital and London.

Probably a bit Too Late for Juventus to Start Scoring Now
Antonio Conte saw his team win their first match in a month, after four consecutive draws in the league and only three goals scored. Juventus lost their grip on the top spot in the Serie A and slowly slipped four points behind AC Milan, who have come together, with a refreshed Zlatan Ibrahimovic, just in time. The 5-0 away win over Fiorentina might be too late, despite the 10 matches still left to play.

2012 NCAA Tournament Diary – Day 1
Uconn and Jim Calhoun became the first NCAA champion to bow down in the first round of next year’s NCAA tournament since UCLA in 1996, as the Iowa State Cyclones jumped the Huskies from the start and never let go of a big lead. This was only an upset because of the names of the program, but with no actual shocking bracket busters on the opening night of the 2012 NCAA tourney, the Cyclones made the biggest splash.

2012 NFL Free Agency, Day 4 – Mario Williams Moves to Buffalo
Mario Williams is off the board, and the Buffalo Bills are the ones hoping that the post-injury Williams is the same guy that became the Houston Texans’ all time leading sacks leader and deserved the number one 2006 NFL draft pick. In the Peyton Manning front? The Titans still seem like the closes thing to a new home in a familiar division, on a relatively quiet day of NFL free agency.
