Novak Djokovic Presents – Six Steps to Destroy Rafael Nadal
An outstanding year and it keeps getting better. Novak Djokovic continued his dream 2011 campaign, beating Rafael Nadal for a sixth consecutive final, winning his fourth grand slam title, his third in 2011 (only the sixth player in the Open Era to reach that mark) and his first US Open, while so far losing only two matches all year. This isn’t just a great tennis year, this is one of the more impressive achievements in all of sports.

Roger Federer Finding it Hard to Accept Defeat to Novak Djokovic
Roger Federer wasn’t a happy man in the press conference following his loss to Novak Djokovic at the US Open Semi Final, as expected from a man who dropped a two set lead and managed to botch two match points in the fifth set.

Rain Delay Ain’t a Problem for Roger (Federer vs Tsonga)
It’s not like Roger Federer has got an easier opponent waiting for him in the Semi Finals – Novak Djokovic, the hottest thing in world tennis, but beating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight sets, avenging that Wimbledon defeat and and coming out firing after another rain delay has got to have Federer pleased with the way he’s playing right now. In my opinion, the best performer so far in the US Open.

Roger Federer and Tsonga Meet Again
Scheduling at tennis can get crazy sometime. With fear of losing the next day (today) due to bad weather, the organizers of the US Open had Roger Federer play his match to end day eight of the 2011 US Open at 23:50 local time. It ended about 80 minutes later, at 1:15. A comfortable win at a very uncomfortable time for Federer, setting him up with a very uncomfortable foe at the Quarter final.

World Number One Moves on (Djokovic vs Dolgopolov)
When Novak Djokovic was down 0-4 in the first set tiebreaker, he would have bough a grueling five setter win. It looked like that kind of day during the first set of the fourth round match between Wimbledon champions and World number one player, Novak Djokovic, and Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov. About 70 minutes later with all three sets in the beg, Djokovic was in the quarterfinals.

Roger Federer Drops a Set In Third Round Win over Marin Cilic
Roger Federer didn’t look his unbeatable old self. He hasn’t looked like that since 2007 and shades of 2009, but despite a wobble and vulnerability showing during the second set and much of the third, the Five time US Open champions beat Marin Cilic 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2, advancing into the third round and beating Marin Cilic for the third time in three matches.

Andy Murray With HUGE Comeback While Nadal Eases Through
Kind of an opposite day for the World’s number two and number four. Andy Murray was behind by two sets against Robin Haase but made an incredible comeback to push through into the third round? Rafael Nadal? He needed only two sets against Nicolas Mahut before the Frenchman retired just over an hour into the match.

Rafael Nadal Struggling Early
Rafael Nadal, if you remember or not, is the defending US Open champion. He certainly hasn’t looked like that any time he faced Novak Djokovic this year, and he wasn’t exactly cruising yesterday in his first round match facing Andrey Golubev, ranked 98th in the world. Nadal won, but far from convincingly.
