San Francisco 49rs – Jim Tomsula as the New Head Coach Raises a Lot of Eyebrows

There’s nothing wrong with promoting from within the organization, but choosing Jim Tomsula, formerly the defensive line coach for the San Francisco 49ers, feels like a huge step down for the franchise after getting rid of its most successful coach in over 20 years.

2014 College Football Season – Final Rankings

We don’t need polls anymore to tell us who the national champions are; Ohio State won the College Football Playoff and that’s it. But the top 25 to close the 2014 season does tell us that behind the two finalists (Buckeyes and Oregon), TCU “jumped” the losers of the semifinal (Alabama and Florida State) while Michigan State, Georgia Tech, Georgia and UCLA enjoyed great bowl games, propelling them into the top 10.

30 Best Memes of Cardale Jones & Ohio State Beating Marcus Mariota & Oregon

Despite being the underdogs (again), Ohio State prevailed in a very dominant performance against Oregon to win the college football national championship, with Ezekiell Elliott being named the hero of the memes, Cardale Jones getting praised (but also made fun of) while Marcus Mariota and the Ducks took a lot of flack for messing up in money time once again and for their jerseys resembling the Oakland Raiders.

Denver Broncos – John Fox Gets Fired & Peyton Manning Was Probably Injured

The failure to win a Super Bowl and losing twice in their first playoff game was enough for the Denver Broncos to fire Jon Fox, although everyone calls it mutual agreement. Peyton Manning playing injured in the divisional round loss and probably for the last month of the season didn’t really help him.

College Football Playoff – Ohio State Redeem the Big Ten, Oregon Keep Falling Short

The first College Football Playoff ends with the number four seed, Ohio State, winning the national championship with a dominant 42-20 win over favored Oregon, as Urban Meyer shows he can build an “SEC team” in the Big Ten and succeed with Cardale Jones, a third-string quarterback and a phenom running back in Ezekiel Elliott while Heisman winner Marcus Mariota couldn’t do much following the opening drive.

30 Best Memes of Peyton Manning & the Denver Broncos Losing to Andrew Luck & the Indianapolis Colts

Another one and done playoff appearance for Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos results in a long list of memes making fun of his commercials and possible impending retirement, while Andrew Luck gets a mention here and there, mostly for looking like a caveman, but a happy one after the Indianapolis Colts won. It’s hard […]

31 Best Memes of Tony Romo, Dez Bryant & the Dallas Cowboys Losing to Aaron Rodgers & the Green Bay Packers

The Dallas Cowboys left their playoff game with the Green Bay Packers angry about the officials’ decision regarding the Dez Bryant receptions. As expected, the memes focused mostly on Bryant whining, Tony Romo losing again, the Detroit Lions feeling justice was done in a way while Aaron Rodgers simply rules all.

College Football Playoff – Oregon vs Ohio State Predictions

The conclusion of the first season with a College Football Playoff in place comes with the national championship game between Oregon, seemingly missing out on this game year after year until finally getting the job done and Ohio State, coached by two-time champions Urban Meyer, carrying not just the torch for the school and it’s previous losses in the BCS system, but also for the entire Big Ten conference.

NFL Playoffs – Andrew Luck & The Indianapolis Colts Send Peyton Manning Into Retirement

Leaving the field with the fans booing him, it felt like Peyton Manning completing a football game for the last time. The Indianapolis Colts weren’t great this season, but with Andrew Luck bringing his usual mix of brilliance and mistakes they were more than enough for the Denver Broncos, improving every aspect of their team over the offseason only to have their quarterback regress to the point in which he’s actually hurting his team.

NFL Playoffs – Green Bay Packers Advance Because Dez Bryant Can’t Complete a Catch

The fate of the season for both the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers fell on one play, a fourth and two late in the fourth quarter. Dez Bryant caught the ball off of Tony Romo, but it bounced on the ground as he fell towards it, stretching for the touchdown. That incompletion meant Aaron Rodgers and his team had a chance to chew out the clock and move on to the NFC championship game.
