Mayweather Tells Pacquiao – Let’s Get it Signed

The Mayweather – Pacquiao negotations are already underway, and according the Floyd, the only thing stopping him and Manny Pacquiao from getting in the ring is that same old issue of random drug testing. He’ll be ready to sign the deal the minute Pacquiao submits to the testing.

It seems that everyone wants a shot at Floyd Mayweather, especially after his successful but controversial return to the ring – a win over Victor Ortiz that still has boxing fans debating about the ethics of that knockout. Legal? Hell ya. Was it a cheap shot? I guess it depends on who’s your favorite boxer.

Manny Pacquiao himself has admitted to the negoations between the two camps, with his promoter Bob Arum and Golden Boy’s Oscar De La Hoya for Mayweather spearheading the talks. De La Hoya has already promised that Mayweather will knockout Manny, who was unimpressive in his win over Juan Manuel Marquez, bringing many to call for a fourth fight.

Unnecessary. Marquez matches up really well against Pacquiao, that’s been proven three times throughout the last seven years. We know that. He also steps really well on fighters’ feet. We knot that as well. There’s no reason for a fourth fight, especially not for Pacquiao, who now has to, more than ever, take the Mayweather challenge and prove his place in history.

As we noted earlier, Mayweather is in high demand. The May 5, 2012 date, set in stone it seems, that Mayweather has booked and declared for his next fight, is reserved for his fight with Manny Pacquiao, at least according to Mayweather. History has taught us that this fight might not happen again. Money, drug testing, who knows. Something might get in the way.

Amir Khan has been vocal about his keenness to fight Mayweather once he beats Lamont Peterson, if he beats Lamont Peterson, in a very short while. Despite it being potentially his first fight in Welterweight after coming from Light-Welterweight, Khan won’t pass on the opportunity to fight Mayweather if the Pacquiao talks collapse.

Saul Alvarez, the 21 year old Mexican sensation, fresh off his weekend beating of Kermit Cintron, immediatly talked about wanting a piece of Mayweather. Next year we want the best, we want Mayweather in May. Apart from the money, we want to fight the best in the world and he’s the best pound-for-pound, so we want to fight him. An All-Mexican showdown with Julio Cesar Chavez is also mentioned as an optional fight.

Mayweather? He wants Pacquiao. I told him May 5 is open. Now you know me, to all the fans – May 5 is the date. Sign the contract! I’m waiting. Now I can’t be sitting waiting all day, now. You want a fight, let’s make it happen. I’m here. I’m waiting. What’s going on? You said you a clean athlete and you said you would take the tests and all that. Well let’s do it.

  1. Floyd is still scared with Pacquiao. Why still mentioned the Random drug test? Pacquiao already agreed the drug test. Let the State commission do the test.

  2. Shut up Aloha… how are you able to eat when Pacquiao’s dick is always in your mouth? Mayweather is doing everything he can to get the Pacquiao fight – Bob Arum is preventing the fight from happening because he doesn’t want to lose his cash cow. Those are the FACTS. Another FACT is Mayweather is the better boxer – he will embarrass Pacquiao & Manny’s camp knows it – that’s why they’re refusing to negotiate with Mayweather. Floyd would completely embarrass Manny… GUARANTEED.

  3. If Floyd wants it so bad, why is random drug testeing still such a big issue with him? Manny has NEVER failed a drug test and besides, they’re tested IMMEDIATELY after the fight.

IMO, this is Floyd’s same BS. He waited until Manny looked average until he “wanted the fight” and I’m still not sure he really wants the fight.

  4. Floyd is signing because (1) Manny was pedestrian against Marquez, (2) he is probably scared of taking the defamation deposition by January as required and (3) Manny is now the PPV king. If Floyd insists on extra blood testing, Manny will probably not drop the lawsuit. Good for dela Hoya, he already apologized but GBP could be out of the loop which makes Arum happy with most of the promotional revenue to himself.

  5. A test means Pacquiao would have to go in the ring without HGH.

This fight is NOT going to happen. Pacman wont sign

  6. we really hope this fight will happen very soon … may weather no more excuses and stands his feet! not to scared of manny pacquiao…pacman vs marquez 3 fght were closed.. but no one knows pacman strategy, for mayweather should take the fights…if this happen mayweather will tko, at 5 rnds…good bye floyd carrier..

  7. it seem to me that pacquiao is a afraid to fight a boxer thats on their prime like floyd….he be only fighting grandpas.

  8. […] Floyd Mayweather came out earlier this week, saying everything is done and done on his side and all he was waiting for is for Manny Pacquiao to agree. To what? The Mayweather approved drug testing, which supposedly dropped the deal last time we had negotiations. According to Pacquiao’s camp, the Filipino has agreed to go along with every one of Mayweather’s requirements. […]

  10. Floyd talks big shit but knows that without beating PacMan he can’t put himself in the “greatest/Ali” category. That’s all Floyd dreams of. Pacman needs to stop wasting his time on bums if he wants to be one of the greatest ever. If they both keep wasting time, some new hungry kid is gonna come along and wash both of them up. All you dickriders should unite to get this fight and save the sport (i repeat) the sport of boxing.

  14. Pathetic floyd- Only bcoz pacman showed some weakness after JMM fight, now little Floydie starts to barks like a big dog. If the outcome was a one sided fight, the world won’t even hear anything from floyd. But this is good for all pac’s camp and followers coz he will surprise floyd in their fight. Floyd fought only those he cherry-picked. Pacman fought the bests and won!

  15. Once the PACman beats the MONEYweather– all Floydie’s fan will finally STFU.. and if they say something, it would be “stop putting words on my mouth I did not say that.”

  16. ..and the Mayweather fans will also say: “well, Floydie let me down.. thank goodness theres always other else to root for. Theres still Obama or Oprah!

  17. We all know that the style of jmm can gve pacquiao a dfclt fight. Coz of his counter puncher style. But d other fighter like gayweather are mismuch 4 him. I think pacman wll knock out gayweather n a very 1st round.
