NFL Rumors – Minnesota Vikings & Green Bay Packers Chasing Greg Jennings

After being such a big part of the Green Bay Packers over the last seven years, it’s going to be hard for Greg Jennings to leave, which is probably why he hasn’t decided yet on his next team, despite quite aggressive courting moves from division rivals, Minnesota Vikings.

While Jennings did want to test the free agent market and see what’sĀ out-thereĀ for him if he decided to leave the team he won a Super Bowl with in 2011, it’s rumored that the Packers have offered him a deal worth $10 million for next season, which is something the Vikings haven’t been able to do just yet, not even managing to get to talk about $$$ with Jennings’ agents.

After tradingĀ HarvinĀ and cuttingĀ Michael Jenkins, the Vikings currently have only three wide receivers with NFL experience:Ā Jerome Simpson,Ā Jarius WrightĀ andĀ Stephen Burton. As desperate as they are, it seems hard for the man who has been Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target over the last few years (missing half of last season with an injury) to choose another team, although it might have to do with not getting too many lucrative offers –Ā his yards per catch dipped from 16.6 in 2010 to 14.2 in 2011 to just 10.2 in 2012, which likely is why his market value appears to be somewhat limited.
