New Zealand have already secured the 2010 Tri Nations Series title, but it doesn’t mean the games that are left to play have no meaning, especially when it comes to Rugby. South Africa showed superb resilience and belief, along some combative rugby, especially in the second half, notching their first win in this year’s tourney, beating Australia 44-31 despite a 14-0 start from the Wallabies. Here are the best moments caught by camera from the match at Loftus Versfeld, not too long ago a World Cup venue.
Quick off the Mark
Australia’s James O’Connor putting Australia 14-0 ahead after only 5 minutes, scoring the first of his two tries in the match.
Got Rid, But Got Hurt
Schalk Burger getting rid of the ball while getting a hard tackle from Australia’s David Pocock.
Rated PG-13
Victor Matfield enjoying some time with his children before the beginning of the match. I guess they love to watch their daddy beating up people.
Between a Rock and a Hard Place
Will Genia tackled by Juan Smith and Pierre Spies.
Hurts to Lose
The Australian players, not really sure what to do after their loss.
Watch Your Head
Adam Ashley-Cooper gets a nice strong tackle and a facial massage from Jean De Villiers and Bryan Habana.
KISS Fan
Francois Hougaard, Rugby player and Gene Simmons impersonator.
A Win + 100
Vicor Matfield (that guy with the kids) celebrating the win and completing his 100th test cap for South Africa.
