LSU and Alabama continued to run through the SEC and college Football, setting up a n0.1 vs no.2 next week, the second time a 1-2 game has happened between SEC teams. Meanwhile, Oklahoma lost to Texas Tech, replaced by Oklahoma State at no.3, their highest rankings since 1984.

2011 College Football Rankings – Week 7
LSU, Alabama and Oklahoma remained as the top 3 teams in the nation for yet another week. In fact, the entire top 10 didn’t budge, while Kansas State, with the recently out of retirement Bill Snyder, got their highest rankings since 2004, reaching no.12 with their perfect 6-0 record.

2011 College Football Rankings – Week 6
The SEC 1-2 combo continues, as LSU still occupy number one after crushing Florida and Alabama right behind with a shout out win over Vanderbilt. Oklahoma got the big win of the weekend, destroying big rivals Texas 55-17 and for the first time since 1982, there’s no team from Florida in the top 25.

2011 College Football Rankings – Week 5
The SEC continue to dominate with LSU staying on top of the rankings while Alabama crushed Florida, climbing up to number two, meaning the SEC West owns the top two spots in the nation. This is the 10th time in the last four seasons that the SEC had the top two teams in the nation.

2011 College Football Rankings – Week 4
LSU and Les Miles reach the no.1 spot, replacing Oklahoma, for the first time since 2007 (ended with a national title), after their win over West Virginia despite the Sooners’ 38-28 win over Missouri. Both Alabama (over Arkansas) and Oklahoma State (at Texas A&M) got big wins over ranked teams.

Oklahoma got a big win over former no.5 Florida State to remain at the top spot of the College Football Rankings, LSU and Alabama switched 2 and 3 again while Ohio State, after being dropped by Miami, fell out of the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2004.

Rafael Nadal to Lead Tennis Players Strike?
Rafael Nadal isn’t happy, despite his win and Spain grabbing a 2-0 lead over France in the Davis Cup Semi Final. He isn’t happy about losing the US Open final, and even more upset about the (too) long tennis season each year, something that must change or the players will take action, according to him.

Oklahoma didn’t play but still stayed on top of the AP rankings, followed by Alabama and LSU in the Top 25 of College Football after week 2, with national champions Auburn finally breaking into the rankings following a big win over Mississippi State.

2011 College Football Rankings – Week 1
The national champions Auburn hardly impressed during week one, barely beating Utah State 42-38, knocking them out of the first AP top 25 rankings of the college football season. The Tiger become just the second national champions to fall out of the rankings on after the first week of action. The pre season top ranked team, Oklahoma, remained at the top spot.
