BCS Standings – No Upsets Mean Hardly Any Change
Week 10 of the 2013 College Football season did provide one matchup between two top 10 teams and two more games between ranked teams that aren’t going to be in the championship game picture by the end of the year, which means that the next edition of the BCS standings won’t feature any substantial change.

2013 BCS Standings – Week 9
While the clear dominance of Alabama in every possible college football ranking system, the big change in the second edition of the BCS Standings in the 2013 season is Oregon leapfrogging Florida State to the number two spot thanks to a win the computers loved over UCLA, while three new teams – Michigan, Notre Dame and Wisconsin make it into the top 25.

College Football – BCS Standing Not Really Shaken Up
The losses of ranked and undefeated teams like Missouri and Texas Tech didn’t really change the national championship picture and don’t create too much of a shake up in the higher regions of the BCS standings, as the usual suspects to go all the way – Alabama, Oregon, Florida State and Ohio State didn’t really run into formidable opposition.

Race for the BCS – When Will the Undefeated Teams Lose
There are 10 teams remaining in College Football, as 8 of them are thinking about being among the top two in the BCS when this season is over. Alabama, Florida State and Oregon seem like the best bets for finishing in the top two when it’s all over, but even them have risky spots in the schedule that’s left for them to play which might take them off the path of a national title game.

2013 BCS Standings – Week 8
The release of the first BCS standings didn’t cause a huge deal of surprise, as Alabama lead the top 25 obviously. Florida State being above Oregon might be surprising to some, but considering their strength of schedule and most recent win over Clemson, it pretty much makes sense to make them the strongest of the undefeated teams behind Alabama, while Ohio State and Missouri trail behind, not looking likely to finish among the top 2.

BCS Standings – Weekend Of Upsets and Fallen Ranked Teams
In one of the craziest weekend of college football we’ve had in a long time, nine teams in the top 25 lost, including four undefeated teams in Clemson, Louisville, Houston and UCLA, leaving us with only Florida State, Miami, Texas Tech, Baylor, Ohio State, Northern Illinois, Fresno State, Oregon, Missouri and Alabama without a loss this season in what should give the first BCS standings a proper shakeup.

How the First BCS Standings Are Going to Look Like
The first BCS Standings of the 2013 season are going to come out after week 8 is played, on October 20. Up until now, the guiding beacon of upsets and BCS projections has been the AP Poll, which even isn’t taken into account to compute the BCS final number. However, one thing that seems quite consistent, is the appearance of Alabama, Oregon and Clemson (in that order) as the top 3 teams in the nation.

College Football – Undefeated Fall Before 1st BCS Standings
Three more undefeated teams lost for the first time in week 7, as Stanford, Michigan and Oklahoma see an end to their perfect run this season, leaving Louisville & Houston from the AAC, Clemson, Florida State and Miami in the ACC, Texas Tech & Baylor in the Big 12, Ohio State from the Big Ten, Northern Illinois in the MAC, Fresno State in the MWC, Oregon & UCLA in the Pac-12 and Missouri & Alabama in the SEC as the only teams in the 2013 yet to suffer defeat.

How the BCS Standings Are Going to Look Like
The first BCS standings of the season will come out on October 20, and have nothing to do with the AP Poll’s Top 25. However, based on the other measures, including the computers, Harris Poll, and the Coaches poll, it’s possible to predict that Alabama will keep on staying number one, while Oregon and Ohio State will take the biggest hits compared to their current ranking, while Clemson and Stanford get a much needed boost.

College Football – Close Calls Will Affect First BCS Standings
Only one undefeated team, Washington, lost this weekend, but no championship heavyweights lost. However, the struggles Ohio State, Stanford and Georgia had in week 6 mean that the first release of the BCS Standings will be affected by these close calls, while Alabama, Oregon and Clemson continued to cruise, leading a group of 17 undefeated teams.
