English Premier League 2013 January Transfer Window Signings
Not the busiest of transfer windows, but still with a few notable moves, as every January brings us – Liverpool purchasing Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea and Philippe Coutinho from Inter; Newcastle raiding the French league, Chelsea buying Demba Ba; Arsenal landing Nacho Montreal from Malaga and QPR, also very busy, signing Christopher Samba.

Chelsea FC – Juan Mata Isn’t Enough With Terrible Defense
An easy match and suddenly, another disappointing result. Juan Mata continues to be the only stable thing in the Chelsea strutcture, as their defense, without the leadership of John Terry, continues to give away goals and points while Rafa Benitez is off to a worse start for the Blues than Roberto Di Matteo had through his first 12 matches.

Chelsea FC – Losing Eden Hazard to Pure Stupidity
Sometimes emotions get the best of people, and obviously football players. Eden Hazard killed off any chance Chelsea had of making a late comeback by simply not thinking, and his sending off for kicking a ball boy might have long term implication on the league as well, as the team lost another chance to win a title this season.

Chelsea FC – Winning Back Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard wasn’t as influential as he was early in the season, but scoring a fantastic goal should help the most expensive player Chelsea purchased this summer fit it once again.

Chelsea FC – Fernando Torres Back to No Confidence Days
One match on the bench and one new player at his position was all it took for Fernando Torres to look like the man he’s been for Chelsea for most of his tenure with the club.
-
Chelsea FC – Demba Ba Changing the Picture
A first match, a first double. Demba Ba couldn’t have asked for a better debut in his new Chelsea uniform, but a sulking Fernando Torres in the stands makes for a less pretty picture.

Transfer Rumors 2013 – Demba Ba Almost a Chelsea Player
It was always up to the personal terms discussed between Chelsea and the Newcastle striker, Demba Ba, because his release clause price of £7.5 million was never going to be a problem.

Javier Hernandez, the Most Efficient Scorer in the Premier League
What makes the best striker in the Premier League? The amount of goals he scores, or the rate in which he scores them in? Whatever the calculation and method is, Manchester United can feel quite secure. They have both Robin van Persie, the league’s top scorer, and Javier Hernandez, with the best goal-per-minute ration in the league.

Transfer Rumors 2013 – Chelsea January Shopping List
Even without the Champions League left to play for and the Premier League title looking a little bit too hard to reach, Chelsea are planning to make a serious investment in January. Demba Ba from Newcastle is the biggest name, but he’s not alone on the shortlist of newcomers. Taison of Metalist and Paulinho from Corinthians are top transfer targets as well.
