The game went on, ended in a 1-1 draw with Catania, and the title race is wide open again thanks to another case of Milan being on the wrong end of football’s primitiveness.

    Lionel Messi couldn’t score while Zlatan Ibrahimovic was all alone. Barcelona dominated the falling apart pitch at the San Siro, like they do in every match they’ve played over the past few years, but couldn’t create enough constant pressure to unhinge the Milan defense and beat a very well placed Christian Abbiati.

    Antonio Conte saw his team win their first match in a month, after four consecutive draws in the league and only three goals scored. Juventus lost their grip on the top spot in the Serie A and slowly slipped four points behind AC Milan, who have come together, with a refreshed Zlatan Ibrahimovic, just in time. The 5-0 away win over Fiorentina might be too late, despite the 10 matches still left to play.

    Real Madrid, with a Cristiano Ronaldo brace didn’t have too hard of a time against CSKA in the second leg, while the Chelsea old guard had a heroic night at Stamford Bridge, making an improbable comeback en route to a 4-1 win over Napoli in extra time. Still, despite trailing behind Real Madrid in the league, Lionel Messi and Barcelona are the favorites to win the Champions League, with Real Madrid, Bayern and Milan not too far behind.
