Liverpool FC – Brendan Rodgers Cleaning House
The only way is up for Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool, but for that to happen they’re going to need to get rid of a lot of extra weight which means players like Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto possibly leaving after just one season at the club, with the future not looking too incredibly bright for other players who spent last season on loan.
-
Liverpool FC – Iago Aspas Can Become a Starter Sooner Than Predicted
When Liverpool signed Iago Aspas this summer, it was quite questionable how quickly, if at all, the Spanish forward will find himself in the lineup. Closer and closer to the Premier League kick off, and things are looking better and brighter for him and his prospects.

Liverpool Destroy Newcastle in a Meaningless 6-0
Maybe Liverpool still believe they’re going to win the final ticket to the Europa League, but it’s hard to see it happening. It doesn’t mean they can’t have fun in the final days of the season, thrashing Newcastle 6-0 at St. James’ Park, with Daniel Sturridge scoring twice, as the presence of Luis Suarez wasn’t missed. The biggest win in the Brendan Rodgers era also saw goals from Jordan Henderson (two goals), Daniel Agger and Fabio Borini.

Liverpool FC – Things Getting Worse for Fabio Borini
If starting the season with five goalless performances in the Premier League weren’t enough, Fabio Borini went and got himself injured during an Italy U-21 training session, breaking his leg and leaving Liverpool with only one striker.

Liverpool FC – Brendan Rodgers Can’t Look Past the Referee
An emotional day at Anfield ended badly for the home side, as Liverpool lost a lead, a player to a non existent red card in Jonjo Shelvey, a match with a penalty that never happened to Manchester United while Brendan Rodgers has to cope with injuries to Daniel Agger, Fabio Borini and Martin Kelly.

Liverpool FC – Finding the Best in Luis Suarez
It wouldn’t be too far fetched to declare Luis Suarez the most hated footballer in the Premier League at the moment, and not because of what he said to Patrice Evra. Another no-win for Liverpool, a 1-1 draw at Sunderland, as Suarez scored their only goal, but another display of behavior from the Uruguayan you simply find harder and harder to overlook.
-
Liverpool FC – Brendan Rodgers Still Has Plenty of Work
The fact that Liverpool traveled to Edinburgh without Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard was no excuse for another bad performance, somehow scraping an away victory thanks to an own goal from Andy Webster, probably giving the Reds the ticket to the Europa League group stage.
-
Liverpool FC – Luis Suarez Looks Happy & Hungry
It was a debut night at Anfield for more than just the 2012-2013 Liverpool team, as Fabio Borini and Brendan Rodgers got their first taste of their new fans, happily making it through the second leg with Gomel with flying colors, beating the Belarussians 3-0, scoring courtesy of Fabio Borini, Steven Gerrard and Glen Johnson.

Transfer Rumors 2012 – Fabio Borini Getting Closer to Liverpool
Maybe, just maybe, Liverpool are closing in on their first signing of the Brendan Rodgers era, as it seems that the only thing standing in the way between them and Fabio Borini is the player himself, as his club, AS Roma, have apparently agreed to sell him to the Premier League club. Dortmund’s Jakub Blaszczykowski is also rumored to be a transfer target.

Brendan Rodgers is desperatley looking for someone to help Luis Suarez carry the scoring load for Liverpool, and another one of his transfer targest may be a player he has coached in the past for the Chelsea Youth and at Swansea City, Fabio Borini of AS Roma.
