Michael Cuddyer Hitting Streak Now at 27 (Giants vs Rockies)
While Michael Cuddyer extends his league-best hitting streak to 27, the Colorado Rockies aren’t exactly buoyed by his sudden excellence in hitting, losing for the fourth time in six games, dropping once again below .500 as the San Francisco Giants, enjoying some excellent pitching from Madison Bumgarner.

Dan Uggla Hitting Streak Ends at 33 (Cubs vs Braves)
Dan Uggla is the latest player in the DiMaggio chase who falls short. Dan Uggla’s Hitting Streak Reaches 30 (Braves vs Marlins)
Dan Uggla didn’t help his batting average or the rest of those numbers on another ugly hitting night. One for six, striking out twice, leaving 5 on base. Still, his hit in the fifth drew more cheers from the dugout than Martin Prado’s go ahead single in the 11th inning, giving the Braves (68-49) a 4-3 over the Florida Marlins, their second straight win against them before the series ends today.
