There are 11 undefeated teams in college football as we head into week 7. Trying to figure out when each of them (if at all) will lose for the first time suggests that Alabama, Clemson and Washington look very likely to run the table in their conference, while both Michigan and Ohio State can go into their rivalry game undefeated to close out the regular season.

The number of undefeated teams keeps dwindling down, with only 11 remaining after week 6: Three in the Big Ten (Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska), two in the SEC (Alabama, Texas A&M), two in the Big 12 (Baylor, West Virginia), one in the ACC (Clemson), one in the MAC (Western Michigan), one in the Mountain West (Boise State), and one in the Pac-12 (Washington).

In one of the craziest weekend of college football we’ve had in a long time, nine teams in the top 25 lost, including four undefeated teams in Clemson, Louisville, Houston and UCLA, leaving us with only Florida State, Miami, Texas Tech, Baylor, Ohio State, Northern Illinois, Fresno State, Oregon, Missouri and Alabama without a loss this season in what should give the first BCS standings a proper shakeup.

2013 NFL Season – Only 3 Undefeated Teams Left
After 5 weeks into the 2013 NFL season, only three teams are left standing without a loss to their name, having enough luck and obviously ability to be this good thus far. The Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West, and the New Orleans Saints from the NFC South are the remaining three, leaving the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks behind after those two lost for the first time this season.

College Football – Close Calls Will Affect First BCS Standings
Only one undefeated team, Washington, lost this weekend, but no championship heavyweights lost. However, the struggles Ohio State, Stanford and Georgia had in week 6 mean that the first release of the BCS Standings will be affected by these close calls, while Alabama, Oregon and Clemson continued to cruise, leading a group of 17 undefeated teams.

We’re only a week away from the beginning of the BCS standings affecting our lives once more, as nine undefeated teams lost their perfect status, among them being LSU, Ole Miss and Oklahoma State, with Georgia, Alabama and Ohio State getting big wins over ranked teams to improve their status before the really important rankings come out.
