  • 10 Highest Paid Players in the NFL

If you’re wondering where the money is at in the NFL, the positions to play in are quarterback (obviously) and the guys rushing the quarterbacks, defensive ends or those hybrid end-linebacker types, with the Denver Broncos being the only team sending two players to the list of the highest paid players – Elvis Dumervil and Peyton Manning.

  • 11 Alternative Designs for NFL Team Logos

Sometimes, team logos need a little bit of modernization and a touch of a redesign. The NFL teams aren’t currently doing anything, so OspreyDawn over on reddit decided that making the best use of his time would be to make new logos for some of the NFL teams he felt were in need of a new flavor and image on their helmets.

  • 10 Oldest Teams in the NBA

People like to talk about old teams, but eight out of the NBA’s 10 oldest teams heading into the 2012-2013 season were in the postseason last spring, with the Miami Heat (second oldest), with only LeBron James and Chris Bosh under the age of 30 among the key players, finishing as the NBA champions. Dwight Howard is also the only major piece for the Lakers still in the third decade of his life.

  • FC Barcelona – Looking for the Formula to Help Lionel Messi

If anyone was surprised that Barcelona struggled to get their regular dominant possession game to work yesterday in Osasuna, he probably didn’t watch the same match last season when the hosts grabbed a quick 2-0 lead that lasted till the end. It wasn’t much different in Tito Vilanova’s first away match, but this time Victor Valdes made enough stops, and Lionel Messi was there once again with his golden touch.

  • Real Madrid – Luka Modric to Fix Jose Mourinho’s Problems?

A rarity occurred after Real Madrid lost at Getafe, putting them 5 points behind Barcelona. Jose Mourinho actually accepted defeat (with a little, tiny arrow towards the referee) and didn’t have any back up words for his players, who did look pretty bad. Maybe the arrival of Luka Modric, finally a done deal, will help them rebound from the disappointing start to the season.

  • Liverpool FC – Luis Suarez Heading Towards a Big Season

After Luis Suarez scored that wonderful free kick in the 66th minute, it seemed like Liverpool won’t let their lead go for a second time. They did, ruining Brendan Rodgers to claim his first Premier League win since becoming the Liverpool manager, but gave him and the fans plenty of reasons to smile and look forward to after outplaying Manchester City for most of the match.

  • Arsenal FC – What to do With Santi Cazrola and Mikel Arteta

Two matches into the 2012-2013 Premier League season, Arsenal are still goalless after two 0-0 draws. Not conceding at Stoke, especially for Arsene Wenger’s side that constantly struggles against Pulis’ team, isn’t such a bad outcome, but the difficulty to score in the post Van Persie era does warrant a bit of worrying.

  • Lionel Messi Saves Barca With Two Goals (Osasuna vs Barcelona)

Two matches, four goals. Lionel Messi wasn’t all that great once again; Barcelona were pretty bad for 70 minutes, struggling once again against Osasuna at the very difficult Estadio El Sadar, but their early goal wasn’t enough against Barca who improved during the second half and got a bit of help from the referee.

  • Luis Suarez Free Kick Goal Isn’t Enough For Victory (Liverpool vs Manchester City)

It began with Martin Skrtel scoring a goal and ended with the same man setting up a goal for Carlos Tevez, ending the entertaining match between Liverpool and Manchester City with a 2-2 draw, with Luis Suarez looking great and scoring a fantastic free kick goal while Yaya Toure also got on the score-sheet to equalize for the first time.

10 Youngest Teams in the NBA

So what’s better to have when you’re trying to win an NBA title – Youth or Experience? Probably, almost universally speaking, experience. Talent is the actual deciding factor, but teams filled with young stuff are usually in some sort of rebuild mode. The Oklahoma City Thunder, with their three stars all under 24 at the moment, are the exception, and probably a bit of a fluke in how they came together.
