Packers Over Rams – Debut Goes Well for Both Sides

Not every team starts their quarterback right away in the preseason. Both the Green Bay Packers, beating the St. Louis Rams 21-7, and their opponents, held the debuts of Aaron Rodgers and Sam Bradford to the second game, and it seemed like it was the right decision.

Ravens Over Cowboys – One Less Thing to Worry About

The Dallas Cowboys got a first demonstration of Tony Romo post-back surgery and were probably quite pleased with his ability, but the same can be said for the Baltimore Ravens and Joe Flacco, coming away with the 37-30 win as both side’s defenses show they need a lot of work before the season begins.

Steelers Over Bills – Ready for the Season to Begin

If the season started right now, the Pittsburgh Steelers would be completely ready, beating the Buffalo Bills 19-16 and most importantly getting two almost flawless drives by Ben Roethlisberger to start the game, both ending with a touchdown. Things haven’t been going that smoothly for EJ Manuel or the others on his team.

Giants Over Colts – Nothing to be Happy About

The most important thing about a preseason game is how well the starters did. Eli Manning was terrible during his time on the field so a 27-26 New York Giants win over the Indianapolis Colts loses all meaning, as opposed to Andrew Luck who looked sharp, confident and accurate during his the series he took part of.

Team USA – Derrick Rose & Anthony Davis Make Fans Very Happy

Beating Brazil 95-78 in a preparation game for the basketball world cup was a minor detail as Chicago, hosting the game, got to see Anthony Davis outplay everyone on the court, but more importantly Derrick Rose playing in front of his home fans for the first time in almost a year, hopefully this time allowing […]

Arsenal FC – Aaron Ramsey is the Key to the Championship

Still playing without Mesut Ozil and maybe before adding one or two more players before the transfer window closes, the current Arsenal team isn’t a finished product. But even if they’re still in a transformation stage, having Aaron Ramsey to complete the job on a not-so-great day from the Gunners is an invaluable asset to have.

Manchester United – Louis van Gaal Knows He Has Work to do

Reality hit Manchester United and it’s manager, Louis van Gaal, in the face on the opening match of the new Premier League season. Wayne Rooney did score a goal, but it was far from enough against an alleged inferior opponent. The combination of new and changing tactics, young and ill-positioned players with similar problems to those from last season resulted in a terribly disappointing performance.

Cristiano Ronaldo & Angel di Maria Are Ready (Fiorentina vs Real Madrid)

Despite the 2-1 loss, Real Madrid should feel quite confident as they head into the new La Liga season, getting another goal from Cristiano Ronaldo. Strikes from Mario Gomez and Marcos Alonso gave Fiorentina the win, but it was one of those preseason friendlies in which the result wasn’t the most important thing.

Premier League – Liverpool vs Southampton Predictions

There’s a strong connection between the two clubs, Liverpool and Southampton, playing their first match of the season against each other, as the hosts have added three of their rival’s players over the course of this summer which they are hoping will be a big part of the new and difficult tests they have waiting for them this season in the Premier League and the Champions League.

Brandão Headbutts Thiago Motta, Breaks His Nose & Runs Away

We don’t exactly know what happened between Brandao and Thiago Motta during the match between PSG and Bastia in the French Ligue 1, but the end result was Brandão waiting for him in the tunnel area, headbutting him in the face and then running away into a corridor. The result? A broken nose.
