Baltimore Ravens – History Says They’ll Win Super Bowl XLVII
No, not because Joe Flacco said he thinks of himself as the best quarterback in the NFL. Not because the AFC hasn’t had a champion since the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008. It’s because the Baltimore Ravens are playing the Philadelphia Eagles in the Eagles’ home opener, and for the last three seasons, whoever plays that game against the Eagles wins, and goes on to win the Super Bowl.

Number one ranked team in the nation? USC had no problem at home against Hawai’i. National champions? Alabama rolled at home against Michigan. Hopeful champions? More SEC dominance as LSU didn’t really exert themselves too much against North Texas. In short – The teams that should have won came out smiling.

The biggest game of the opening weekend in College Football will be the Michigan Wolverines (#8 preseason) travelling to Cowboys Stadium to face the national champions, the Alabama Crimson Tide, #2 in the nation according to the preseason polls, while the favorites for the national title, the USC Trojans, being the road at home, hosting the Hawai’i Warriors.
