Not a brilliant performance from the Red Devils, but they’re back on top, taking advantage of Chelsea’s loss a Villa Park. A fluke own goal from Zat Knight put Fergie’s boys on top, and Antonio’s Valencia easy strike put the 3 points in the vault. Bolton did manage a goal after a big mistake in United’s defense, but they were far from equal and deserving of a point from Old Trafford. United have the visit to Anfield next week, which will be a live or die game for Liverpool, but Ferguson and his gang would love to end Rafa’s title hopes this early in the season.
