NFL Rumors – Miami Dolphins & Kansas City Chiefs Closer to Branden Albert Trade
It’s been taking a while, but it looks like the deal that will send Branden Albert via trade from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins for a second round draft pick is well on its way to being completed, with the proximity of the actual 2013 NFL Draft speeding things up.

NFL Rumors – Minnesota Vikings Interested in Drafting Manti Te’o
It’s been quite a while since the Manti Te’o story exploded and when it comes down to what GMs think of his ability to succeed in the NFL, the really important thing about him, it seems the former Notre Dame linebacker is held in high enough regard to be a possible late first round draft pick, with the Minnesota Vikings opting to use on of their two selections on him.

NFL Rumors – New York Jets Also Interested in Drafting Dee Milliner
After trading away Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there’s a good chance that the New York Jets will be using one of their two first round picks in the 2013 NFL Draft on a cornerback, with only one player, Dee Milliner coming out of Alabama, looking like someone who might fit the bill of such a high pick for that position.

NFL Rumors – St. Louis Rams Still Interested in Daryl Smith
A little bit earlier in the free agency period, it looked like the St. Louis Rams might make a move for former Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker, Daryl Smith. Time has passed since his visit and nothing has really come out of it, although it seems the interest is back on for both sides, and might finally be completed for both sides after the NFL draft.

NFL Rumors – San Francisco 49ers Interested in Draft Dee Milliner
The top cornerback in the 2013 NFL draft is Dee Milliner coming out of Alabama, but his draft stock seems to be slipping in the last couple of weeks with some health and medical concerns raised by some. It still hasn’t hurt the interest in him from those with a high enough pick, or those like the San Francsico 49ers, looking to trade up and try to land the sliding player.

NFL Rumors – Dallas Cowboys Still Stuck With Doug Free
The Dallas Cowboys are hoping that they can finally start fixing their disastrous offensive line situation through the 2013 NFL draft, but meanwhile have things to do with the unwanted pieces left on the team, some of them quite expensive, like Doug Free, who has been moved around last season, maybe pushing him closer to a release.

NFL Rumors – New York Jets Closer to Signing Chris Ivory
It’s weird that such an un-accomplished running back like Chris Ivory would be making so much noise in free agency, but at this stage of the off-season, that’s what’s left, mostly, and the fact that the New York Jets are so devoid of talents make any mediocre prospect seem a bit better than he actually is, even if it’s true the New Orleans Saints would like to get rid of him.

NFL Rumors – Buffalo Bills Interested in Karlos Dansby
For some linebackers in this league, it’s been about seizing the opportunity before someone else grabs it. Karlos Dansby has been a step too slow so far, missing out on a couple of teams, which moves him on to his next visit, possibly keeping him in the AFC East and eventually playing against his former team, the Miami Dolphins, if he and the Buffalo Bills come to terms.

NFL Rumors – New York Giants Will Sign Victor Cruz on a New Contract
It has been taken longer than anyone expected it to, but Victor Cruz, a restricted free agent, has still not signed with the New York Giants on a long term deal, but it doesn’t seem like they’re worried about the wide receiver not playing for them next season.

NFL Rumors – Minnesota Vikings Deciding Between Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel
It’s hard to believe anyone can consider Matt Cassel to be starting quarterback material after his last couple of seasons with the Chiefs, but the Minnesota Vikings don’t have a much better option as their number one quarterback. Christian Ponder had his moments last season, but a lot of what he showed was disappointing, giving the franchise some doubts regarding his ability to lead them in the future.
