2015 College Football Season – Week 6 Scores & Standings
In week 6 of the 2015 College Football Season one major upset occurred, as unranked and struggling Texas beat Oklahoma in the Red River Shootout, while Ohio State kept unimpressing and winning, TCU almost lost another point fiesta, this time to Kansas State, while Baylor poured on the points against poor Kansas. Michigan State and Utah, completing the top 5, had a less than easy weekend, but they managed to prevail.

2015-2016 UEFA Champions League: Week 1 Results & Group Tables
The first midweek Champions League festival is over, with European champions Barcelona not too disappointed with an away draw at Roma, Juventus coming back from behind to beat Manchester City, Real Madrid cruising against Shakhtar Donetsk, Manchester United stunned by PSV and Bayern Munich not struggling on their visit to Olympiakos.

NFL Preseason – Week 4 Scores
The final preseason round of games was played with mostly backups and team hopefuls on display. Tim Tebow outplayed Matt Barkley for the Philadelphia Eagles, Russell Wilson had one play and one touchdown for the Seattle Seahawks and the Tennessee Titans were another rarity by playing their starting quarterback, Marcus Mariota.

Athletics World Championships – Day 4 Results, Gold & Medal Table
A big day for Kenya with two gold medals: One for David Rudisha, the king of the men’s 800 meters run, and a surprising one to Nicolas Bett in the men’s 400 meters hurdles. Greg Rutherford of Great Britain won the long jump competition, like he did in the Olympics, Genzebe Dibaba of Ethiopia won the women’s 1500 meters and Denia Caballero of Cuba took gold in the women’s discus throw.

A strong day for Kenya as Ezekiel Kemboi continues his never ending dominance in the men’s 3000 meters steeplechase while Vivian Cheruiyot took gold in the women’s 10,000 meters. Shawnacy Barber of Canada surprised many with gold in the men’s pole vault, Caterine Ibargüen of Colombia one a close contest in the women’s triple jump and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won another gold for Jamaica in the 100 meters race, this time for the women

Athletics World Championships – Day 2 Results, Gold & Medal Table
The main event of possibly the competition was won by Usain Bolt, taking the 100 meters race once again with a 9.79 seconds sprint, barely beating the controversial Justin Gatlin. Jessica Ennis-Hill won the Women’s heptathlon once again, Joe Kovacs of the United States took gold in the men’s shot put and Pawel Fajdek won the gold medal in the men’s hammer throw.

English Premier League – Week 2 Results, Table, Goals & Highlights
A weekend that started with a dull win for Manchester United at Villa Park, and was followed with plenty of goals, including three for Everton in Southampton, two of them by Romelu Lukaku; three also for Norwich on the road against Sunderland and four overall in a home draw for Tottenham against Stoke, while Leicester remain on top of the table with an away win against West Ham.

NFL Preseason Scores (Week 1, Day 1)
The first day of preseason action was highlighted by bad performances from the New England Patriots quarterbacks (Tom Brady, Jimmy Garoppolo), the San Diego Chargers beating the Tony Romo-less Dallas Cowboys, an impressive looking Detroit Lions against a sad New York Jets and Ryan Tannehill doing very well for the Miami Dolphins in a loss to the Chicago Bears.

Swimming World Championships – Day 8 Results, Gold & Medal Table
The final day of the swimming world championships was packed with events, and saw one American gold medal with the 4×100 men’s medley relay, enough to put them on top of the medal table in both overall and golds. Gregorio Paltrinieri of Italy won the men’s 1500 meters freestyle; Camille Lacourt of France took the men’s 50 meters backstroke; Daiya Seto of Japan won the men’s 400 meters individual medley; Bronte Campbell of Australia won the women’s 50 meters freestyle; Jennie Johansson of Sweden won the women’s 50 meters breaststroke; Katinka Hosszu of Hungary won the women’s 400 meters individual medley and China won the final race of the championship, the women’s 4×100 medley relay.
