2010 World Cup Diary – Day 3

Short one today, without too much ramblings.

Let’s get straight to the goals, beginning with another keeper blunder, allowing Slovenia the 1-0 win over Algeria, giving them the top of Group C.

Algeria – Slovenia : 0 – 1 (Robert Koren, 79th minute)

On to Group D, where Ghana came out as the surprise winners, after a horrible mistake by Zdravko Kuzmanovic, stupidly giving Ghana an 85th minute penalty, converted by Asamoah Gyan.

Serbia – Ghana : 0 – 1 (Asamoah Gyan, penalty, 84th minute)

No surprise in the Germany Australia match, which produced four goals, all in Schwarzer’s net, setting Germany as the early favorites (without seeing the Netherlands, Spain and Brazil play) and the first team to put on a really impressive match, finally.
