In a short day of action, the Dallas Cowboys stood out with another terrific performance from backup quarterback Dak Prescott, involved in four touchdowns, while Tony Romo had a quiet preseason debut. Colt McCoy looked pretty good for the Redskins, still without Cousins in their preseason games, while no offense went the San Diego Chargers way against a rough looking Arizona Cardinals team, as both teams failed to score an offensive touchdown.

Reynaldo Lopez stood out with 11 strikeouts as the Washington Nationals dominated the Atlanta Braves, and Madison Bumgarner showed again who is the best hitting pitcher in the majors with a home run for the San Francisco Giants in a win over the New York Mets.

Jimmy Garoppolo looked good in a New England Patriots win, mostly against the lesser defense, and Russell Wilson looked surprisingly rusy in a Seattle Seahawks loss.
